Each journal begins with an original painting and is made entirely by hand.ย Crafted through an intuitive and thoughtful process, each piece becomes a place to hold your words, memories, and inner world; whether for reflection, creativity, or meaningful milestones.ย
In the past, some previously commissioned journals have become baby books, grief companions, or wedding keepsakes. The possibilities are endless.
Once your order is placed, Zinnia will reach out with a few thoughtful questions to help guide the creation of your journal, ensuring it feels deeply aligned with you or the person it is meant for.
I paint the cover, select and arrange the pages, cut and cover the book board, and bind the journal by hand. I often use handmade Lokta paper for the back cover and endpapers and may include details such as a pocket, ribbon bookmark or closure depending on the piece.
Your journal will be an original work of art, waiting to be filled. Something to gift yourself, or someone you love.

Each journal is created by hand and typically takes approximately two weeks to complete before being carefully packaged and shipped to its new home.
