Moulting

The Moulting series considers the inherited narratives and expectations that accumulate around female identity and the possibility of release by becoming more fully oneself. Moulting is not a single transformation but a recurring process. Throughout our lives we pass through periods of shedding, vulnerability and renewal. Each work is painted on reclaimed cotton drop cloth from my studio practice.
